Çukurova University, founded in 1973, is among the top universities in Turkey. The university is located on a 2000-hectare main campus that includes a regional teaching hospital, academic and administrative buildings, sports fields, conference facilities, libraries, a research farm, a techno-park, and many recreational areas. About 45,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate education in 16 faculties, from medicine to engineering, basic sciences, social studies, and the arts. Gülfeza Kardaş is a professor at Çukurova University, Turkey. She obtained her PhD (1999) in Chemistry Department at the same university. She has been a member of the staff since then. She is focused on applications of materials for electrochemical systems such as water electrolyser, fuel cells and batteries. She has especially focused on electrochemical processes, testing techniques and corrosion of materials. Her main interest is the characterization of materials in electrochemical systems. She has more than 100 publications.
