German-Finnish Businessforum 2025

The functioning of our society and economy depends on the supply of essential goods and services – including energy, electricity, and technical infrastructure, as well as water, food, medicines, and reliable media communication.

The security of these lifelines of our society and economy has always been important. However, we have become more aware of it than ever since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted global supply chains. Further wake-up calls included Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine in 2022, the subsequent energy crisis in Europe caused by the halt of Russian gas deliveries, and various hybrid attacks on critical technical infrastructure.

Finland has been working intensively for many decades to ensure the continued functioning of its society and economy. Likewise, German government agencies and companies are working closely together on many levels to address issues related to supply security.

This year, participation in the Business Forum is free of charge.

What to expect

At our German-Finnish Businessforum on November 4–5, 2025 in Lübeck, we will bring together Finnish and German companies as well as representatives from politics and public institutions to exchange views on current challenges and potential solutions in the field of “Resilience in Business Operations and Supply Chains.”

Together with experts and participants, we aim to discuss key topics such as industry, trade and their supply chains, energy supply, as well as ports and logistics.

The German-Finnish Businessforum serves as a platform for German-Finnish innovation and exchange. The event features a variety of formats: expert keynotes from business and politics, thematic presentations by companies offering concrete solutions, company pitches, and plenty of opportunities for networking and matchmaking.

The forum is kicked off with a get-together on the evening of November 4th, as well as an evening program on the day of the Business Forum. This year, the Businessforum will be leading up to the German-Finnish Port Day in Lübeck.

Networking and B2B-Meetings

Networking, personal conversations, and direct encounters have traditionally been a central part of the Businessforum.

This year as well, we are organizing professional networking opportunities and B2B-meetings in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) from Schleswig-Holstein during the forum.

Meetings can be booked in advance on this platform. To book meetings, only a simple registration is required (see Register now-button on the top of this page). Read more under the tab "how does it work".

A dedicated area will be available on-site for the meetings, with a designated host who will assist participants and ensure smooth coordination.

To enable as many active encounters as possible, we kindly ask all participants to register early.

Please note: In previous years, all meeting slots were quickly booked out — make sure to secure your place in time!
