ECSO's Annual CISO Meetup 2024 - Vienna

Welcome to the ECSO's Annual CISO Meetup 2024 - Vienna! Join the largest gathering of CISOs in Europe!

The 2024 ECSO Annual CISO Meetup set to take place on 4-5 November, 2024, at the Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna, in Austria.

ECSO’s Annual CISO Meetup is an exclusive event, assembling an impressive gathering of CISOs from across Europe. We are anticipating over 200 CISOs hailing from various European countries and sectors. Our main objective is to foster collaboration among cybersecurity executives, recognising that this synergy is crucial for enhancing the cybersecurity posture of European organisations. The CISO Meetup is not merely a one-time event but a platform for creating a durable network of CISOs who will continue to collaborate even after the event concludes. Consequently, this event empowers CISOs to articulate their needs and perspectives effectively to other stakeholders in the European cybersecurity ecosystem.

At the CISO Meetup you can expect discussions on strategic cybersecurity topics, presentations of breaches incurred by the CISOs, dialogues with public administration, sector-specific roundtables and joint discussion on the future goals and initiatives of ECSO’s CISO community.

CISO Meetup is an annual gathering of ECSO’s CISO Community that plays a vital role in providing daily collaboration opportunities for CISOs across various European countries and sectors. With partnerships established with national CISO Communities/Associations, our Community has rapidly grown, now encompassing almost 500 members from 29 European countries. Representatives from national and regional CISO groups will be present, fostering sharing of best practices with the ultimate goal of unifying all CISO organisations under the ECSO umbrella.

Distinct from other CISO events, the ECSO CISO Meetup remains fully independent, non-profit, and driven by the chairs of our network of European CISOs, united by shared interests and commitment to advancing cybersecurity.

For information on how to reach our venue, please read our travel instructions and hotel recommendations HERE.

Purpose of the event

ECSO recognises the need for CISOs to exchange sensitive information in a trusted and safe environment and to be part of the only pan-European CISO Community. ECSO’s Annual CISO Meetup is therefore a unique occasion to meet each other in person to develop trust and convey a stronger voice of users/operators towards other stakeholders in cybersecurity.

What to expect:

  • Participation of 200 CISOs from 27 European countries.

  • Workstreams on vital cybersecurity topics with European perspective.

  • Expert sessions on the impact of the EU cybersecurity policies.

  • Presentation of case studies on breaches incurred by the CISOs.

  • Sector-specific roundtables (Energy, Finance, Transport, Manufacturing).

  • Networking opportunities on a dedicated event platform.

  • Speaking opportunities.

Rigorous measures will be implemented to ensure the utmost privacy and confidentiality, and all discussions will adhere to the principles of the Chatham House Rules, safeguarding the identities and statements of participants.

Agenda: Call for contributions!

As per tradition, CISO attendees will also have the chance to develop part of the agenda together with ECSO.

The CISO Meetup agenda is carefully curated together with CISOs and will feature two streams:

  • General stream: Deep dive into areas of common interest to all CISOs.

  • Sector and area specific stream: Energy, Finance, Manufacturing (more sectors to be introduced depending on the number of applications from a sector) or specialised topics and workshops.

The agenda is under development and will be updated as we go along.

Please do not hesitate to insert your suggestions as per requested when registering via the form.
