Daniele Sangion

Daniele Sangion, MA, MSc, has been leading international digital transformation programs for major European financial institutions for over 25 years. He currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Security Officer (CSO) — Head of Digital & Corporate Security — as well as Head of the Digital Transformation Office at UniCredit Bank Austria, part of the UniCredit Group.

Previously, he held several group-level roles within UniCredit, including Head of Security for key initiatives such as GDPR security compliance and Third-Party Risk Management. He is a Board Member of the Kompetenzzentrum Sicheres Österreich (KSÖ) and serves on the Scientific Committee of Clusit, as well as on the Advisory Board of two prominent observatories at the Politecnico di Milano: the European Digital Tech Watch and the Cybersecurity and Data Protection Observatory. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Tech-Risk Strategy Group (ExCo TRSG) at the European Banking Federation.

A former Senior Manager at Accenture, he holds several international certifications in IT, security, and management. He graduated with honors (110 cum laude) in Information Technology from the Università degli Studi di Milano while working at a software house.
