Restaurants & Sightseeing:

Staying at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel near Jungfernstieg places you right in the heart of the city – the perfect starting point for exploring Hamburg’s most iconic sights.

Begin your day with a stroll along the Inner Alster Lake, just steps from the hotel, and enjoy the scenic views. From there, walk down to the historic Altstadt (Old Town), where you can visit the impressive Town Hall (Rathaus) and the Alsterarkaden with its charming arcades and cafés.

A short walk or boat ride will take you to the Speicherstadt, the world’s largest historic warehouse district and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby, the striking Elbphilharmonie concert hall offers guided tours and breathtaking views from its public plaza.

Other must-sees include the Miniatur Wunderland, the world’s largest model railway exhibition, and the International Maritime Museum. For a different perspective of the city, take a harbor boat tour from the Landungsbrücken piers.

With excellent transport connections, you can also easily reach neighborhoods like St. Pauli with the famous Reeperbahn, or the green oasis of Planten un Blomen park – both perfect for rounding off a day of sightseeing.

The area surrounding the hotel offers a wide variety of restaurants, ensuring that every taste is catered for. Thanks to Hamburg’s layout and excellent transport connections, nearby districts are also easy to explore. The hotel recommends the following restaurants:

  • Tschebull Restaurant – Modern Austrian cuisine
  • Edmondo Restaurant – Italian gourmet dining
  • Pelikan Restaurant – Northern German specialties
  • Cast Iron Grill – Located in the Hamburg Marriott Hotel
  • Cardemon Restaurant – Progressive Indian dining
  • Olá Lisboa – Portuguese specialties

Shopping:

Located just a short walk from the hotel, Jungfernstieg is one of Hamburg’s premier shopping destinations. Nestled along the picturesque Inner Alster Lake, this elegant boulevard offers a blend of high-end fashion, renowned department stores, and exclusive boutiques. Whether you're looking for luxury brands, designer labels, or unique local finds, you’ll discover a wide range of shopping opportunities in the area.

Just nearby, you'll also find Europa Passage, a modern shopping mall with over 120 shops, as well as Neuer Wall, one of Germany’s most prestigious shopping streets, known for its upscale fashion and jewelry stores.

With its mix of international flair and Hanseatic charm, shopping around Jungfernstieg is an experience not to be missed.
