Copper flow battery pilot
About
We are proposing a development of a 1MWh CFB battery system that fits in two TEU shipping containers. This system can be configured from 4 to 10 hour storage duration depending on project parameters, for 2 types of applications. Firstly, with an energy-intensive company can perform energy arbitrage and cost saving by storing electricity during lower hours during the spot market for use when prices are high. Secondly, co-located with either wind or solar generators for peak shifting of over-produced electricity, hence generating revenue over longer hours and reducing the curtailment costs.
