About EPFL Investor Day

Over the course of the day, investors and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to connect, explore investment opportunities, and discover the future disruptive technological trends.

PITCH SESSIONS

The 2025 edition of EPFL Investor Day will feature dynamic pitch sessions spotlighting a carefully selected group of startups actively seeking funding within the next 12 to 18 months.

Representing a broad spectrum of sectors: from AI, HealthTech, and Cleantech to Space, ICT, and Advanced Industry, these ventures will present their solutions to an audience of discerning investors. The sessions will cover a range of maturity levels, from pre-seed and seed to Series A and growth stage startups, offering diverse and high-potential investment opportunities.

We will also continue the popular “startups in creation” segment, which has proven to be a highlight of past editions. This session offers a unique glimpse into the bold ideas and early-stage ventures emerging from EPFL’s world-class research ecosystem.

ONE-on-ONE MEETINGS

At the heart of EPFL Investor Day are the curated 1:1 meetings, designed to spark meaningful exchanges between investors and entrepreneurs. In just 15 minutes, participants can dive into focused conversations, explore potential synergies, and lay the groundwork for future collaborations.

In 2024, the event facilitated over 300 targeted meetings, in addition to countless informal connections. Building on that momentum, this year’s edition will offer even more structured opportunities to connect the right people at the right time, efficiently and effectively.

LAB DISCOVERY TOUR

The Lab Discovery Tour is back at EPFL Investor Day 2025! This exclusive tour offers investors a behind-the-scenes look at the research environment where groundbreaking technologies are born. It’s a unique opportunity to explore selected labs on the EPFL campus and connect with the innovators turning scientific excellence into real-world impact.

The list of participating labs will be announced a few weeks before the event. Spaces are limited and reserved for registered investors.

PLENARY and KEYNOTE

This plenary-roundtable will explore how Switzerland and Europe can strengthen their high-tech ecosystems to remain competitive on a global scale. Key topics will include fostering deeper collaboration between academia, industry, investors, and government, enhancing growth funding for startups, and preparing for impactful exits.up Leaders, exploring strategies for developing startups and achieving global success.

STARTUP AND ACCELERATOR VILLAGE

The Startup and Accelerator Village will be a vibrant hub where startups present their innovative products and services, eager to captivate investors with their tangible prototypes. Accelerators will serve as beacons of expertise and support, showcasing the dynamic ecosystem of Western Switzerland.

This village will highlight the depth and breadth of resources available to budding entrepreneurs, demonstrating the rich support network that drives innovation and growth in the region.
