My organisation

Tetis Biyoteknoloji is a deep-tech biotechnology company specializing in the valorization of marine by-products using green extraction technologies to develop high-value biomaterials. Our mission is to bridge the gap between marine bioresources, biotechnology, and healthcare, creating innovative, sustainable, and functional solutions for various industries. Our expertise lies in advanced extraction methods, including supercritical fluid extraction, enzymatic hydrolysis, and microwave-assisted processing, to produce bioactive compounds such as marine collagen, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), chitosan, and bioactive peptides. These compounds are applied across multiple sectors, including medical biotechnology, regenerative medicine, functional foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Tetis operates at TRL 7, successfully transitioning from proof-of-concept to industrial-scale production, and has introduced innovative products to the market, such as Seanacks, a marine collagen-based functional snack.

Additional questions

Do you have a project idea to be applied to this call?

No

Are you interested in joining existing project consortiums?

Yes, I am looking for a project to join.

Please provide a short description of your project idea and your partner search (if applicable).

Tetis is pioneering a deep-tech solution that harnesses marine bioactives—including collagen, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), chitosan, and bioactive peptides—extracted from marine by-products using sustainable green technologies. The project aims to develop next-generation biomaterials for advanced wound healing, tissue regeneration, and antimicrobial protection, providing bio-based, biocompatible, and high-performance medical solutions. Bioactive Wound Care: Development of marine-based wound dressings, hydrogel sprays, and biofilm-resistant bandages that promote faster healing, reduce scarring, and prevent infections. - Regenerative Therapies: Creation of marine-derived extracellular matrix (ECM) scaffolds for skin, cartilage, and tissue regeneration, offering a sustainable alternative to animal-derived biomaterials. - Smart Delivery Systems: Formulation of marine-derived nanoparticles and bioactive coatings for controlled drug delivery, enabling the sustained release of antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and pro-healing compounds in medical applications. - Green Extraction & Circular Economy: Industrial-scale production using green-technology processing, ensuring high bioavailability, purity, and sustainability. Tetis is positioning its marine-derived biomaterials within high-growth sectors: - Advanced Wound Care Market ($25B by 2030): Bioactive dressings, sprays, and hydrogels for chronic wounds, burns, and post-surgical healing. -Regenerative Medicine & Tissue Engineering ($60B by 2030): Marine-based ECM scaffolds for skin grafts, cartilage repair, and soft tissue regeneration. -Medical Textile & Coatings Industry ($10B by 2028): Antimicrobial bio-coatings for hospital surfaces, surgical materials, and bandages.
