EURICUR Workshop & Excursion

What is EURICUR? 
The European Institute for Comparative Urban Research (EURICUR) has been in existence since 1989. Originally founded to stimulate fundamental international comparative research on issues of interest to cities, EURICUR has since evolved into a multi-local research network. Urban practitioners and researchers from various research groups and regions collaborate, exchange knowledge on key urban challenges and relevant research topics, and jointly develop innovative solutions for sustainable and resilient cities. 

Excursion 
Since EURICUR thrives on exchange and practical insights, in addition to a guided tour on transforming urban areas with Jacopo Galli, PhD, from the Venice Sustainability Foundation following the workshop on Friday, Jan van der Borg (Università Ca‘ Foscari Venezia) will also offer an excursion to selected Venice sights on Saturday, April 12, from 10:00 to 12:30 AM.  

Meeting at around 10.00 at the second tram station from Piazzale Roma ''San Marco Forte Marghera'', some ten minutes by tram. Visit to Forte Marghera, Via Torino and the Science Park until 12.30. Free lunch either in Forte Marghera or in Venice. For those who need to be at the airport early that afternoon, a direct bus no 15 stopping in front of Forte Marghera takes you directly to the airport of Venice in 20 minutes.
