Rudy Dijkstra

Rudy Dijkstra is Board Member and founder of the companies HDM Pipelines (2011), Acquaint (2014) and HULO (2021). He obtained his bachelor's degree in Leeuwarden in the field of mechanical engineering and his master's degree at the Nyenrode business school. By fulfilling the role of project manager for several years, in the field of design, construction, inspection and maintenance of pipeline systems, he gained expertise in pipeline asset (integrity) management.

Since the start-up of HDM Pipelines in 2011, Rudy was responsible as an integrity advisor for the development and implementation of Pipeline Management Systems across different types of utilities.

HDM Pipelines is specialized in the advice and support of pipeline owners and managers in the management of pipeline systems. HDM Pipelines provides structural solutions, temporary support, or an answer to a single question. Its method is futureproof, practical, and data/AI substantiated.

In 2011 the first plans were made to introduce inline inspections into the water sector. Since 2013 the precursor of Acquaint started participating in a research theme ‘Smart water grids’, an initiative of the scientific research institute Wetsus. Under this theme, there is an ongoing development of new inspection technologies. In 2014, we began with our mission: to ensure reliable water infrastructure and services worldwide.

In collaboration with businesses, government organizations, and knowledge institutes, we have developed a revolutionary approach to making water and wastewater networks safer and more reliable. We accomplish this through a combination of innovative inspection methods and autopilot.
