Saskatoon EV and Charging Matchmaking Event -Agenda Note

The Saskatoon EV and Charging Matchmaking Event on Sept 16 at Rental Housing Saskatchewan (1705 McKercher Drive) will connect organizations seeking EV technologies with those providing them. Participants will engage in one-on-one meetings, networking, and a panel discussion on gaps in charging infrastructure. The event follows a speed-dating format for bilateral meetings, with snacks and lunch provided.

The agenda for the event is as follows:

·       9:00 am - 9:30 am- Registration and Coffee with Networking
Attendees will register and have the opportunity to network over coffee.

·       9:30 am - 9:45 am- Introductory Remarks and Setting Objectives
Welcome and introductory remarks will be provided by Rental Housing Saskatchewan and the City of Saskatoon.

  2. Introductory remarks by Amber Weckworth- Education and Environmental Performance Manager (Community Leadership)- City of Saskatoon

  3. Objective and agenda setting by Sambit Nayak- Project Manager, Sustainability, City of Saskatoon

·       9:45 am - 11:00 am- Panel Discussions (Moderated)
The panel discussion will feature panelists representing property managers, businesses, EV drivers, charging station vendors, and subject matter experts. It will provide key insights to guide the one-on-one meetings after lunch.

Lunch will be provided.

·       11:45 am - 12:00 pm- Directions for the Bilateral Matchmaking Meetings
Susan Bouchard from City of Saskatoon will provide directions and moderate the bilateral meetings.

·       12:00 pm - 1:45 pm- Matchmaking Meetings - 15-Minute Bilateral Sessions x 7 Rounds
Each time slot will have up to 10 pre-scheduled bilateral meetings, each lasting 15 minutes. After each meeting, participants will move to their next session.

·       1:45 pm - 2:00 pm- Closing Remarks
Closing remarks will be provided by RHSK and the City.
