Experienced entrepreneur with a passion for events, technological innovation, strategy and sustainability.
Sven Vanhemmens was born in 1979 and raised in Brussels. He earned a degree in Information Technology from the Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp. After his studies, he established an audio-visual company for events, which eventually became a full production company with its own workshop, material rental, and full-service productions.
Years later, he led the Belgian Environmental Logistics Team for the Presidency of Belgium to the European Council in 2010, organizing meetings and conferences for the European delegation globally. Following this experience, he worked as a Technical Director for various organizations and events. In this role, he acquired the event agency BrandEvent, now known as The Event Pilots.
Together with his business partner Steve Segers, he founded EVENTRONICS in 2020 to integrate technology into the event industry. Since September 2024, he has served as Head of Business Development & Strategy for Moonbase Group.
