Sustainability actions for future environment
About
We are two teachers of Life and Earth sciences from a middle school called Frédéric Mistral in Avignon in France. Our school is labelled Erasmus+. We have a group of around 10 pupils that are 12 to 14 years-old who are part of a science english club since September 2024. They work on many subject but especially on subjects linked to the environment.
We are looking for another middle school to work on a project about environmental issues and actions that can be taken by pupils. We would like to discover what others countries are doing to reduce their environmental impact. We'll be happy to share what is done in France too. Then, the idea is to make concrete actions together to reduce the environmental impact of our school.
For example, in our school, we're composting some of the food from the cafeteria to reduce our trash and then the compost is used in the school garden. We can exchange on that. We're doing a lot of projects that can inspire you but we are also looking to be inspired and to learn what you're doing your school.
The goal is to implement joint projects and improve the environmental impact of our establishment by drawing inspiration from what is done in each of our respective establishments.
So, we are looking for a school that would be willing to host around 10 pupils for a few days. Of course, we would also be happy to host pupils and teachers from your school. Students would communicate in English (French also possible) so they could exchange and improve their skills in English (or French).
