Susanne Kadner

As Co-founder and Director of CIRCULAR REPUBLIC Susanne is driving the development of new entrepreneurial ecosystems for the implementation of a Circular Economy at Europe's largest Entrepreneurship Center UnternehmerTUM. Together with her team, she is working with corporates, SMEs and start-ups to rethink existing products and business models and to build circular ecosystems in different industries like batteries, textiles, packaging and electronics. Previously, Susanne was Director at acatech, the German National Academy of Science and Engineering, where she founded the multi-stakeholder Circular Economy Initiative Deutschland, the first of its kind to develop a roadmap for the transition towards a resource-efficient and digitally enabled Circular Economy in Germany. Before shifting her career focus on circularity and resource use, Susanne worked for 10 years at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, inter alia as Deputy Head and Head of Science of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Susanne was appointed to the Eureka Expert Council "Circular Value Creation" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and acts as a mentor for the start-up accelerator programme RESPOND of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt.
