Fundación CARTIF is a leading Spanish Applied Research Centre in R&D and technology transfer activities created in 1994. CARTIF’s mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. CARTIF develops R&D projects, directly funded by companies or public funds raised through competitive calls of national and international level. CARTIF also advises public authorities (municipalities and regional governments) in the planning and development of innovative projects with high economic returns. The main fields of activity are Industrial and Digital Systems, Energy, and Agri-food and Processes. CARTIF is a multidisciplinary centre that works in multiple knowledge fields focused to many economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructures, health and environment, addressing research lines oriented to the main societal challenges, as industry 4.0, smart grids, smart cities, energy efficiency, cultural heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources and biotechnology. CARTIF is a very active member of EURobotics, EFFRA, A.SPIRE, BEPA, BDVA and BIC, among other EU associations and initiatives.

Fundación CARTIF is a leading Spanish Applied Research Centre in R&D and technology transfer activities created in 1994. It is formed up by 210 researchers, mainly engineers, scientists and senior researchers. CARTIF’s mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. The main fields of activity are Industrial and Digital Systems, Energy, and Agri-food and Processes. CARTIF’s participation in international activities is materialised in the current participation in 90 on-going international projects, including 32 projects from H2020 (7 of them coordinated), 53 projects from HE (9 of them coordinated), 3 LIFE projects (1 of them coordinated), and 2 projects from other Programmes (1 CYTED and 1 PRIMA coordinated).
