Preventative healthcare reduces illness
About
Everything indicates that preventive measures in healthcare lead to better health, both physical and mental. At the same time, figures from Statistics Sweden show that, on average, about 3% of health care expenditure since 2001 has been spent on preventive care. There is general agreement on the importance of implementing preventive measures, but there are several obstacles to translating these insights into practice.
As an innovation partner for sustainable transition, RISE contributes to building better infrastructure for preventive health. We do this in collaboration with authorities and academia, as well as through specific cases together with municipalities, regions, companies, and other relevant operators. We can produce a basis for prioritisation, cost-effectiveness assessments, models for implementation, and systems for knowledge dissemination about preventive measures.
By implementing measurable preventive measures, we can demonstrate the positive effects of preventive care, both for individual health and society as a whole.
