More than a clothing factory, LAGOFRA is a large atelier, recognised for the high quality and diversity of its production. Its long path began in 1934, when Manuel Prata decided to deepen his knowledge in tailoring, by joining a course for tailors in Porto, northern Portugal. In the following decades, Manuel’s sons grew up nearby the tailoring. In 1980, Emanuel Prata, Manuel’s fifth son, created his first factory, Prata & Borges, distinguished among the most demanding customers. In 2011, siblings Ana, Filipe and Mário Prata, Emanuel’s children, joined the company. Together with the team, the new generation built LAGOFRA, to target international markets. Nowadays, LAGOFRA works with some of the most sustainable brands and is fully committed with the future of slow fashion.
