My organisation
At BirdWalk we offer innovative versatile bags for a dynamic use, improving daily commutes and holiday travels. The design of our bags is unique and gives the user options to transform the bag in size or shape according to carrying needs or different moments of the day. All products are released in limited editions and individually crafted with great care at our Lisbon based studio along with local partners in Portugal. We believe the main aspects of sustainability is manufacturing with recycled fabrics, invest on durability as well as investing on local based supply chain. BirdWalk represents a new generation of lifestyle products created for dynamic people who choose sustainable fashion, who want to express a creative mindset and support smart products.
About me
Hi, I’m Sara, bag designer and founder of BirdWalk 👋 Throughout my professional path I was led to specialise in the design of fashion accessories. At some point, my “always-on-the-move” lifestyle made me rethink the ongoing needs around carrying everyday objects across various contexts and occasions throughout the day. The result was a highly flexible backpack that transforms into a shoulder bag.
In 2017, I founded BirdWalk with the intention of exploring innovative solutions to transport everyday objects. Also, with 3 fundamentals in mind: local production, top-quality recycled materials and sustainability. Craft over mass manufacturing, preserving quality over quantity in order to design a better future. Therefore, I take an active role in investing in the Portuguese textile industry by selecting materials and production partners at a local level.
With dedication and creativity, BirdWalk formed a small (yet amazing) team and established itself as an independent brand based on partnerships that genuinely share the same values as us.
