About
Climate change is a global problem. Compensation for the increasing number of disaster situations and damage events is only possible with the help of research and development activities. It is an important experience that the management of damage events and disasters cannot be imagined without the activities of voluntary organizations. The project proposal aims to develop the prevention and intervention capacities of voluntary organizations with a strong emphasis on innovations. Facilitated by preparing and equipping the forces of civil society, adapting to climate change, increasing resilience, and developing voluntary organizations that undertake tasks in the field of prevention and intervention.
Objectives:
To reduce the consequences of extreme weather events, such as droughts and storms, caused by climate change.
To develop the capacities of volunteer organizations in the areas of prevention and intervention with a focus on innovations.
Expected results:
•An interactive online map open to the public for interaction with region-specific data.
•Series of workshops and exercises with rescue teams, volunteer firefighters, civil protection experts, etc., for schools, partners, volunteers, and the public.
•Educational program focused on civil protection and first aid.
•Centralized warehouses with equipment for volunteer corps in the region.
•Custom mobile application for volunteers - for communication, intervention alerts, and organizing volunteer activities.
•Manual for interventions in different types of disasters for volunteer corps.
•Material and technical support for volunteer corps.
