About

Marine pollution has become a matter of public safety because of its strong influence on various human activities such as fisheries and tourism, as well as for consequences on health.
One of the better remedies could be created by the introduction of innovative technologies targeting to (I) ensure the long-term health and productivity of ecosystems, (II) support the responsible use of resources, and finally (III) sustain developing a sustainable and integrated approach.

The IAM Project proposes a monitoring system to measure water quality in real-time, using data transmitted from sensors.
This is to make public authorities proactive in water prevention management, measuring the impact of environmental projects as well as monitoring compliance with international regulations.

Expected Results:

 Improving the health and productivity of inland water, sea and marine ecosystems

 Sustainable use of water and marine resources

 Increasing the resilience of ecosystems against climate change and other environmental stress factors

 Increased awareness and support for sustainable ecosystem management among stakeholders

 Long-term protection of aquatic and marine ecosystems for future generations.

BAUMIND plans to improve The IAM Project proposal toward the call "HORIZON-CL3-2024-DRS-01-03: Harmonised / Standard protocols for the implementation of alert and impact forecasting systems as well as transnational emergency management in the areas of high-impact weather / climatic and geological disasters".
