Papilon Defence is an internationally recognized advanced technology company whose domestically developed integrated (single-model / multi-model) biometric identification systems and devices are used efficiently by the state, law enforcement agencies and other large-scale companies. In addition to providing high-security biometric systems to the public and private sectors, it was established with the aim of facilitating the lives of citizens with the application of biometric technology. Since the day it was founded, Papilon Defense has aimed to produce high quality solutions quickly, taking into account the market needs of the government, private sector and end users, and to work with our partners for the long term. The international Papilon group has market activities in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). R&D, device production, adaptation, integration, knowledge production and maintenance activities are carried out in our company's facilities in Ankara. Papilon Savunma A.Ş., a member of the Defense and Air Industry Exporters Association (SSI), is the first and only domestic Biometric System Manufacturer together with other Defense Industry companies representing our country before the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.

Biometric identity processes are managed in accordance with national and international standards; it offers fully equipped and domestic finger and palmprint identification, face recognition, photo matching, iris recognition systems, entry-exit control and other supporting security systems to institutions that require high-level preventive security such as Police, Gendarmerie, Border Security, Intelligence Organizations and similar institutions, and all of the developed biometrics and image processing based systems (both hardware and software) are its own domestic production. Since 2018, with the title of R&D center, it has been producing technologies that identify, detect and verify people according to their biometric characteristics and transforms these technologies into applications in the field of defense security. In the 6 years it has been operating as an R&D center, it has carried out 44 R&D projects. The R&D unit both closely monitors technological developments and directly contributes to the development of these technologies. It allocates approximately 35% of its revenue to R&D activities every year and continues to develop both its R&D center and R&D team. The quality standards of Papilon Defense products, which will eliminate foreign dependency, have been certified by the necessary authorities such as FBI, NIST, ICAO, CE, EMC and TSE. Papilon Defense is one of the 4 companies worldwide specially invited by the FBI in 2016 to participate in NIST (workshop on determining sector standards).
