Serena Bressan (female) holds the position of senior project manager and proposal writer at the Project Management Group within the Digital Society Center at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Italy. Her responsibilities include drafting EU project proposals and overseeing EU projects focusing on security-related issues, such as AI4TRUST under Horizon Europe (2023-2026) and PRECRISIS under the Internal Security Fund (2023-2025).
Previously, from 2013 to 2016, she served as a postdoctoral research fellow in Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento (Italy). During this time, she was also a researcher at the eCrime research group and managed various EU projects. Serena earned her Law Degree with honors (MA) from the same University in 2009, followed by a PhD in Criminology from the Catholic University of Milan in 2013. Additionally, she has been a Privacy Specialist and EU-GDPR Consultant since 2014. Serena has further bolstered her qualifications by obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2018 and the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification in 2024.
