Radmila Salic Makreska

Head of Department for Risk, Disaster Management and Strategic Planning at Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, N. Macedonia

She achieved her master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering and a PhD in Technical Sciences at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (N. Macedonia). Her activities are mainly focused on seismic hazard and risk analysis, disaster management and spatial planning studies. She has broad scientific and professional experience in participating and leading national and international projects. Her professional activities are also part of several consultancy projects for different international organizations and institutions as UNDP, WHO, WB, EBRD, JICA and others. She is a member of several crisis and disaster management national bodies established under the mandated governmental institutions, as well as several professional and scientific associations. She is one of the authors of the current national seismic zonning maps part of NA for EC8. From recently she was elected as ExeCom member of European Facilities for Earthquake Hazard and Risk (EFEHR).
