HÜSEYİN ÖZDEMİR

Hüseyin ÖZDEMİR serves as a full-time researcher at the Climate and Marine Sciences Department of Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences at Istanbul Technical University and holds the position of a vice-coordinator at the International Projects Office. He earned his PhD in Environmental Engineering at Marmara University, complemented by an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Istanbul University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Marmara University. With 17 years of professional academic experience specializing in environmental studies, air quality, and climate change., Huseyin has contributed to 11 national and international funded projects in various positions. He has authored 24 peer-reviewed journal articles and conducted post-doctoral research at Aarhus University in Denmark under the project “Estimation of the Impact of Air Pollution on Human Health and Economy in Turkey using the EVA System”. From 2019 to 2022, he was the project team leader for “Technical Assistance for Improving Air Quality and Raising Public Awareness in Cities in Turkey—CITYAIR”, which was funded by the EU through the IPA II Multi-Annual Action Programme for Environment and Climate Action (3,500,000 €).
