At NGN, we believe in the transformative power of insect farming to address pressing global challenges, such as food security, income generation, and environmental sustainability. By leveraging Dutch expertise in agriculture and collaborating with local communities, we aim to empower individuals and organizations in the Global South to adopt sustainable farming practices.
NGN is an innovative organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development and promoting circular economies through strategic initiatives and partnerships. Our focus is on integrating cutting-edge agricultural practices, with a particular emphasis on insect farming, which offers climate-smart protein sources and vital nutrients.
Our work include:
1. Training Programs: We conduct comprehensive training sessions to educate local farmers and entrepreneurs on the benefits and techniques of insect farming. These programs enable communities to harness local resources effectively and sustainably.
2. Research and Development: NGN actively engages in research to identify the best insect species and substrates for farming, nutritional values, processing methods, and market opportunities. Our findings guide our partners and stakeholders in making informed decisions about their agricultural practices.
3. Business Incubation: We support aspiring entrepreneurs in the insect farming sector through business incubation programs that provide access to resources, mentorship, and market connections. Our goal is to stimulate economic growth and innovation.
4. Pa_rtnerships:_ Collaboration is at the heart of NGN's approach. By working with organizations such as HollandDoor, we share knowledge and expertise to create scalable solutions that enhance food systems and build resilient communities.
At NGN, we envision a future where insect farming plays a crucial role in achieving sustainable food systems, reducing waste, and empowering local economies. Join us in our mission to create a vibrant, circular economy that benefits people and the planet. Together, we can make a lasting impact on communities worldwide.
