Founded in 1924, the Chambers of Agriculture are public bodies run by elected representatives of all the players in the agricultural, rural and forestry sectors.

Working alongside France's 416,000 farmers at departmental, regional and national level, the Chambers of Agriculture have 3,200 elected representatives and employ no fewer than 8,230 staff, including 6,430 managers and technicians.

The Chambers of Agriculture network comprises 102 establishments:

  • 88 departmental or interdepartmental Chambers

  • 13 regional Chambers

  • A national structure: Chambres d'agriculture France.
