About me

I am agricultural engineer (MSc) with 30 years' experience. I speak fluently English and German, and I can have a simple conversation in Spanish.

I first worked on agricultural and rural development projects in Africa and Asia, before joining Chambres d'Agriculture France. I was first in charge of international cooperation, then European projects.

So far, I have been involved in more than 20 EU research and innovation projects on various subjects: training & networking of advisors, on-farm demonstration, interactive innovation, Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS), soil functions, diversification of production systems, Integrated Pest Management, organic farming, rural development… In particular, I was the coordinator of i2connect (Horizon 2020) between 2019 and 2024.

My organisation

Chambres d'Agriculture France

https://chambres-agriculture.fr/

Chambres d'Agriculture France is the national umbrella organisation of the French chambers of agriculture, which provide services to farmers and represent them to public authorities.

My organisation coordinates a network of 102 local and regional chambers of agriculture across the whole country. We are led by elected farmers and we play two main roles:

- on the one hand, representing farmers' interests to local, regional and national public authorities;

- on the other hand, providing a wide range of services to farmers and other stakeholders: one-to-one advice, group advice, short training courses, trials on commercial and experimental farms, producing technical and economic references (for different farming systems), implementing local, regional, national and sometimes European projects on various topics.

We work on the main types of plant and livestock products, on farm business management and on cross-cutting subjects such as the management of natural resources, adaptation/mitigation of climate change, agrifood chains...
