Hydrogen Energy Japanese-Basque Networking

Context:

Within the framework of the Japan-Euskadi year, Basque Trade & Investment, the Basque Government's Internationalization Agency, after opening its new office in Tokyo in 2022, aims to boost trade relations between the two countries.

At the same time, Basque Trade & Investment and the Japanese Embassy in Spain have maintained an active dialogue, to coordinate all the actions planned during the Japan-Euskadi year, ensuring close collaboration between both institutions and the participation of Japan, through its institutional agents, through the private sector, in each of these actions.

 As a result of this dialogue, the participation of relevant companies from the Hydrogen value chains is considered appropriate by both parties, in a visit to relevant companies and projects in the Basque Country, from both value chains, as an opportunity to plan and coordinate shared actions on the opportunities identified as keys to success.

Goal:

To introduce companies to business opportunities in Japan and the Basque Country, through some of the most relevant companies in the hydrogen energy value chain, as well as to promote Basque-Japanese mutual understanding and business alliances, both nationally and internationally.

• Promote the interest of Japanese investment in the Basque Country and vice versa.

• Present business development activities in the Hydrogen sector

• Promote Basque-Japanese business alliances, including in third markets.
