Fiber Optic Sensing for Long Distances
About
We have detected FBG's states from over 100+ kilometers away, even with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of -40 dB in model environment with our specialized detection method. Also, we aim to reach at least 300+ km in the near future. We have plan to extend it at least 1000 km at the end which will create opportunity to detect 2000km radius to monitor. We have successfully detected FBG states from over 100 kilometers away, even with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of -40 dB in a controlled environment, using our specialized detection method. Our goal is to extend this range to at least 300 kilometers in the near future. Ultimately, we plan to expand the detection capability to 1,000 kilometers, which will create the opportunity to monitor a diameter of up to 2,000 kilometers.
