HORIZON-CL3-2025-02-CS-03: Privacy Enhancing Technologies
About
We wanted to highlight that Sabancı University is currently engaged in four ongoing Horizon/Digital projects, showcasing our strong expertise and commitment to cutting-edge research in cryptography and cybersecurity:
enCRYPTON (PI): Sabancı University is leading the enCRYPTON project as the Principal Investigator. The main objective of enCRYPTON is to increase the innovation capacity of Sabancı University and enhance the consortium’s scientific quality and research excellence within privacy-enhancing technologies.(2022-2025)
PHASE IV AI (Partner): Additionally, Sabanci University's contribution to PHASE IV AI is focused on the development and implementation of advanced cryptographic technologies. SU utilizes its expertise in FPGA architectures and CUDA codes to address scalability issues with SMPC and FHE schemes. The goal is to develop highly scalable and hardware-accelerated frameworks for both cryptographic techniques, making them more efficient and effective. (2023-2026)
PRIVIDEMA (Partner): Sabancı University is also a partner in the PRIVIDEMA (Privacy-preserving identity management for digital wallet and secure data sharing and processing for cyber Threat intelligence data) project, which has been granted newly with a 15/15 point. The main objective of PRIVIDEMA is to spearhead advancements in privacy-preserving technologies within the realms of cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and identity management. It operates across different levels of research and innovation maturity, aiming to introduce more robust, user-friendly, and scalable solutions for enhancing privacy and security in the European ecosystem. Through industry-driven initiatives and collaborative efforts, PRIVIDEMA seeks to address pressing challenges in privacy and security, ultimately contributing to a safer and more resilient digital environment. (2024-2027).
CyberSec4OT (PI): Coordinated by Sabancı University, CyberSec4OT (Cybersecurity for Industry 4.0 Technologies in Operational Technology) project is the first project in which a Turkish stakeholder has been appointed as coordinator within the scope of the Digital Europe call. The project aims to address the shortage of cybersecurity experts by providing training on Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity to individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds. At the same time, it aims to increase the resilience of institutions and companies against cyber-attacks during the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies into manufacturing systems. (2024-2027)
