Fark Labs Innovation has spinned of from Farplas Automotive 2 years ago, as Fark Labs, we still work with Farplas regarding to funds and strategy. this allows us to work together with Farplas in national and international funded projects on circular economy, digitalization, material development and efficiency in manufacturing. Farplas Otomotiv Anonim Şirketi is a 50-year-old Tier-1 automotive and mobility company located in Turkey. Farplas designs, develops and manufactures vehicle plastic parts. Major customers in passenger vehicle segment are Renault, Toyota, Hyundai, Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles Group and in commercial vehicle are Mercedes-Benz, Ford, MAN and Volvo and many more. Farplas has been founded in 1968 and it is one of the major suppliers for automotive industry both globally and nationally with 1800 employees in 3 manufacturing sites and 2 R&D centers. Main commercial products in automotive sector are interior and exterior body parts, electronic based ceiling and lighting systems and instrument panels. Farplas has strong technical capability in terms of robot and PLC programming skills. Most of the robotic design and construction operations realized by method and automation team in Farplas. All of injection moulding machines operate simultaneously with 3-axis and 6-axis robots. Industrial robot integration was completed in 2009 with 70 3-axis robots and 13 6-axis robots. Therefore, operators had a chance to develop solid background in working at same environment with industrial robots. This will enable smooth implementation of collaborative robots in its current production environment. Fark Labs is a hands-on incubation, acceleration and investment center that supports entrepreneurs from idea to spin-off. Our goal is to help all stakeholders in the start-up ecosystem by navigating a better future, making strategic choices under volatile times, accelerating the transition toward innovation and sustainability through our R&D projects, industry know-how, partnerships, and global network.
