Eskişehir Osmangazi University, a strong and long-established university with 52 years of scientific experience, continues to produce knowledge with 13 Faculties, 1 Schools, 6 Vocational Schools, 4 Institutes and 40 Application and Research Center, and progressing steadiliy towards modern science.
Sergen Aşık received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Turkey, where he also completed his M.S. degree in the same field. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, where he is in the thesis phase of his doctoral studies.
His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on multimodal approaches that integrate heterogeneous data sources—such as medical imaging, clinical text, and structured electronic health records—to enhance diagnostic accuracy and support clinical decision-making. He is especially interested in leveraging natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and cross-modal learning techniques to develop intelligent systems that can interpret and reason over complex, multi-source medical data.
In addition to his work on multimodal AI in healthcare, his broader research interests include natural language processing, machine learning, and software reliability. Through his interdisciplinary work, he aims to contribute to the development of robust and interpretable AI systems that can assist medical professionals and improve patient outcomes.
