The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Republic of Türkiye oversees an extensive healthcare network, including more than 2,000 hospitals and 8,000 health centers, and is responsible for healthcare services, promotion, and research. The General Directorate of Health Information Systems (GDHIS) under the MOH leads the development of advanced digital health solutions, including e-Nabız, HSYS (Public Health Management System), and MHRS (Central Physician Appointment System), which enhance patient care and streamline healthcare operations.
e-Nabız is a patient-centered platform that allows users to manage their health records, schedule appointments, and access medical services, while also providing personalized health recommendations. HSYS centralizes patient information across more than 40 health modules, including cancer screenings, vaccinations, and epidemic management, playing a vital role in COVID-19 response. MHRS is a centralized system that simplifies the appointment booking process, reducing wait times for patients.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health is involved in international Horizon 2020 projects such as ProEmpower, HSMonitor, Incareheart, and Trumpet, focusing on the development of innovative healthcare solutions. These initiatives highlight Türkiye's commitment to utilizing technology and data to improve healthcare outcomes and resource management on both a national and global scale.
