The Turkish Energy, Nuclear, and Mineral Research Agency (TENMAK) is a leading public research institution focused on scientific and technological advancements in energy, nuclear, and mineral sectors. Its key areas of work include rare earth elements and critical raw materials, nuclear technology and radiation safety, energy technologies, mining and mineral processing, and health and environmental applications. TENMAK conducts research on the production and industrial application of rare earth elements and other critical raw materials, develops renewable energy and hydrogen technologies, ensures radiation safety and radioactive waste management, and works on the exploration and beneficiation of mineral resources with a focus on sustainable mining. Additionally, the institute engages in radiopharmaceutical production, nuclear medicine applications, and environmental radiation monitoring. TENMAK collaborates on national and international projects, fosters partnerships with industry, and aims to enhance Turkey’s technological independence in these strategic fields.
