About me
Dr. Mou is a senior investment professional with over 18 years of experience in technology innovation, venture capital and venture fund investments with multiple full cycle deals in the emerging markets, focusing on disruptive technologies that reshape emerging economies and deliver outsized development impact. Since 2021, she has been head of IFC’s VC investments in Europe, Turkey, and Central Asia. She was formerly head of IFC’s Startup Catalyst program, which supports startup ecosystems globally through investments in incubators and accelerators in challenging markets. From 2018-2021, she was global head of IFC’s venture capital funds program and from 2010-2018, she was based in Beijing, responsible for IFC’s VC investments in China with a focus on early to growth stage companies in a range of technology sectors. Prior to the IFC, she was with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich, Germany. Dr. Mou holds Ph.D., M.Eng, and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and is a member of the MIT Educational Council and Mentor of the MIT IDEAS Social Innovation Challenge, MIT's 20+ year-old social entrepreneurship program.
