I’m U-Shin Kim, a Confidence Creator and founder of Office Spiel, with 15+ years of experience in communication coaching, public speaking, and pitch development.

I was one of the first employees at a fast-growing startup, co-wrote the business plan, pitched to top VCs across the U.S., and helped raise over $5M. The company later sold for $125M. What I learned? The most effective pitches didn’t lead with facts — they started with emotionally connected stories. That insight shaped the motivational speaking techniques I now teach.

To overcome my own fear of speaking (and dyslexia), I trained as an actor in NYC. I became a spokesperson for PayPal and eBay, delivering keynote-level presentations to executives nationwide. For 10+ years, I also worked as a talent agent, placing actors in top productions and teaching audition-based performance training — now adapted for the business world.

At Office Spiel, I combine storytelling, voice coaching, movement, and executive communication training to build presentation skills that connect and convert.

I live in Vienna with my Austrian wife and our two boys. I make a killer Korean BBQ beef kimchi nacho, and believe confidence isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you rehearse.
