Howard Parkinson is the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Transit Ltd (DTL). Dr Parkinson has over 30 years’ experience in the industry and holds the following academic and professional qualifications: • PhD in Engineering from the University of Manchester • Vice-Chair of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Railway Division Board • Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Fellow of the IMechE (FIMechE) Dr Parkinson has previously lectured on design and robotics in an academic environment. Other senior roles held prior to establishing Digital Transit Limited, include: • Principal Consultant at Atkins Group • Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University He has also published widely in railway systems engineering, reliability engineering, system safety and Big Data Analytics. He has also delivered cybersecurity consulting and training to senior executives and engineers from companies such as Hitachi, Alstom, Abellio Rail, and Knorr Bremse.
