About me
Dr. Danica Maljković has more than 19 years of experience in the energy sector with the focus in hydrogen economy, renewable energy projects, energy efficiency, district heating both in technical/project development and regulatory area, renewable energy with a strong emphasis on geothermal energy sources, biomass/biogas and solar thermal, project development and energy efficiency predominately in industry. Has managed a number of due diligence processes from IFIs and commercial banks, both in the area of renewable energy projects (biomass, biogas) and energy efficiency in industry. She cooperated with power and utility companies, national level and local governments, governmental and regulatory agencies and funds, international financial institutions (EBRD, KfW, World Bank Group), projects under EC and EEA grant schemes, commercial banks (Intesa Sanpaolo Group, Unicredit Group, Erste Group Bank), private equity funds, institutional investors and numerous private investors and developers.
Since October 2020 Danica was a CEO and then a CTO of DOK-ING Indeloop, internal start-up of Zagreb based company DOK-ING. Indeloop is a technology company focused on developing and commercialising innovative systems for hydrogen production. Indeloop’s main research and development activities are in thermochemical gasification of organic materials for hydrogen production. Furthermore, Indeloop is active in developing projects of hydrogen production from electrolysis together with development of photovoltaic and hydro renewable energy projects for coupling with hydrogen electrolysis. Within DOK-ING Danica is Director of Energy and Susitainibility as one of three programmes within the company.
Since 2021 Danica is the President of the Board of Association for Hydrogen Economy in Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
She holds a PhD in Power Engineering from the University of Zagreb and a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the same University, together with and MBA in Energy Economics from the University of Rijeka. Her PhD thesis was title "Modelling of Heat Demand in District Heating Systems Based on Machine Learning".
Danica is Croatian, her native language is Croatian, while she speaks excellent English and comprehensive French, German, Slovenian and Italian.
