MetGIS Snow Products – Ultra high resolution snow cover information

MetGIS provides daily updated maps of the actual snow cover from different satellite sources. In contrast to the competition, these maps are optimized with fresh new snow simulations from the company’s weather forecast models, allowing to use ultra high horizontal resolutions of up to 30 m.

The maps provide information on whether or not there is presumably a snow cover at certain locations. Currently they are available for most of Central Europe, but other regions are added on demand.

Beside these, MetGIS also provides high resolution fresh snow forecast maps (world-wide) in resolutions of days or hours. The snow cover products are available both via the Maps API and the Point API.
