La Cialma

La Cialma is a ski resort whose history started at the end of the 1950, when a local factory invested and built some ski lifts that obtained a great local relevance for the next two decades. Nevertheless, in 1972 an avalanche destroyed some infrastructure and it wasn't reconstructed until the late 1980s, but since its reopening, even if it regained some of its ancient glory, the managers of the ski resort struggled with decreasing snow fall and rising temperatures, that inflated maintenance costs and made it difficult to expand and modernise the infrastructures.

In the 2010 the local administration intervened and made some adjustments to the resort, such as implementing the snowmaking system and funding the construction of a new ski lift that could allow the resort to work also during the summer season, in order not to depend on snowfall.

Our main project right now is to develop summer tourism mainly the mountain bike, downhill, hiking, etc... and raise awareness about the endless possibilities that the mountains can offer!
