Long-term Europe – Africa WEF Nexus (LEAWEF) Multilateral Research Programme Matchmaking

Matchmaking - How does it work?

Through this website, you can register to participate in the matchmaking. The platform will then give you access to the various sessions in the online meeting on 16 April, as well as information about the other participants. This allows you to search for new cooperation partners, offer your expertise or exchange ideas. In doing so, you can use participants' profiles, the marketplace and 1-on-1 introductory meetings.

1) Registration

Register via the blue ‘Register now’ button and create your profile. After registration, you can add or modify your own information.

2) Complete your profile and make your expertise and interests visible

The information on your profile is important to be findable for other participants. We also use this information to match the programme of the online meeting as closely as possible to the needs and preferences of the participants.

Go to the icon at the top right of the screen and press My profile. You can then add or change information via ‘Edit my profile’ and ‘Organiser questions’.

3) Search participants' profiles

Go to PARTICIPANTS in the top bar of the website for an overview of all registered participants. You can filter by specific attributes or search by keywords.

4) Send and receive requests for 1-on-1 conversations

Be active, not just reactive! To get the most out of this matchmaking event, we encourage you to make new contacts. Browse through participant profiles and send a request to those you would like to speak to in a 1-on-1 meeting.

Make sure you are available for requests. Go to your profile and ‘My availability’. Here, tick one or more time slots.

Would you like to invite someone? Go to his/her profile and click on ‘Request a Meeting’. Then wait for confirmation and schedule an interview together.

Is this function disabled? Then send a message requesting that the person in question adjust his/her availability.

More information on how to make an online appointment below.

5) Marketplace

Are you looking for specific cooperation partners, want to offer your expertise or have other requests?

Go to the MARKET PLACE in the top bar of the website. Here you browse through the offers and enquiries of other participants. You can search using filters or search terms.

In the ‘My opportunities’ tab, you can place requests or offers yourself. You can also do this directly via your profile.

6) Mobile app

TIP: Download the b2match mobile app (iOS/Android)

After downloading the app, you will be asked whether b2match is allowed to send messages. Click ‘Allow’ so we can keep you informed of latest updates during the meeting.

HAPPY MATCHMAKING!
