EU.FFICIENT is a pioneering European initiative designed to transform co-creation practices across sectors. Our mission is to establish and support vibrant Communities of Expert Facilitators through personalised training, dynamic networking, and immersive, hands-on learning experiences.

 At the core of EU.FFICIENT is a dedicated digital platform that provides facilitators with tailored resources and access to state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. By bridging gaps between academia, industry, and the public sector, the project fosters deeper collaboration and accelerates innovation across Europe. Piloted within four thematic areas – Advanced Manufacturing, HealthTech, Mobility, and AI/Digital – EU.FFICIENT offers a scalable model for co-creation that is inclusive, impactful, and future-focused.

The Advanced Manufacturing Community within EU.FFICIENT focuses on driving innovation in the manufacturing industry through enhanced co-creation. By equipping facilitators with specialised tools and collaborative frameworks, this community aims to:

·       Encourage knowledge exchange between academia, industry, and public bodies

·       Foster cross-sectoral innovation in manufacturing processes

 Expert Facilitators in this community will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing in Europe—ensuring smarter, greener, and more resilient production systems.

This year’s Manufacturing Day theme, “Collaborate to Innovate,” perfectly echoes the mission at the heart of EU.FFICIENT.

As the manufacturing industry navigates rapid technological change, rising sustainability demands, and intensifying global competition, co-creation and collaboration have never been more vital. EU.FFICIENT is leading the way in enabling innovation through its pioneering Communities of Expert Facilitators. Within our Advanced Manufacturing Community, we are actively empowering facilitators to drive collaboration that leads to smarter, greener, more secure and more resilient production systems. By providing tailored training, hands-on experience, and a powerful European-wide network, EU.FFICIENT equips manufacturing professionals with the tools they need to co-create the future.

By the end of the project, EU.FFICIENT will connect:

·       2,000 Expert Facilitators

·       Representing 150 Higher Education Institutions and Research and Technology Organisations

·       80 companies / SMEs

·       50 public organisations

·       Across 18 EU Member States and at least 8 Widening and Associated Countries

 Looking ahead to 2030, EU.FFICIENT aims to engage:

·       8,400 Expert Facilitators

·       From 1,220 organisations, including:

·       600 HEIs and RTOs

·       250 companies / SMEs

·       125 public organisations
