UNICORN: Promoting Circularity in Electronics in Automotive and related sectors
About
The UNICORN Project is currently investigating different approaches to increase circularity in automotive electronics along with 5 concrete use cases that are strongly supported by the industry. Beyond focusing on technological solutions such as substitution of petroleum-based substrates, design for dismantling, sensing for safety and predictive maintenance, etc., the project also investigates non-technological factors promoting circularity and supporting the necessary shift in mindset required to achieve full circularity.
UNICORN is working on blueprint cases and developing guidelines for eco-design that shall help stakeholders in the automotive sector and beyond apply good practices
