Small and medium size Enterprise (SME)

Grenoble, France

MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) combine microscopic electrical and mechanical components in everyday devices like smartphone accelerometers, smartwatches, medical sensors, and projectors, offering benefits in miniaturization and cost. While integrating magnets could improve MEMS performance and durability, current methods cannot produce high-performance magnets smaller than 1 mm, limiting their use in MEMS. Magnetfab, a CNRS spin-off, offers an innovative thin-film deposition technique that enables the mass production of thousands of high-performance micromagnets on a single substrate, tailored for MEMS manufacturing needs. Aiming to be the leading micromagnet provider for the microelectronics industry, Magnetfab currently targets applications in sensors for wearables, loudspeakers for earbuds, and quantum processors, unlocking significant innovation potential. But this is just the beginning: the possibilities for innovation with micromagnets are virtually limitless.
