Mini 30x30 - A students’ wave for the ocean
Empower Your Students to Shape Ocean Protection at the UN
The 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), which will take place in June 2025 in Nice, will bring together world leaders to commit to more ambitious actions for ocean protection.
At a time when critical decisions for the planet’s future are at stake, it is essential that students’ voices are heard in this forum. Mini 30x30 is a global and collaborative initiative that aims to mobilize students in advocating for ocean protection.
The mission? To deliver a powerful open letter to the United Nations—uniting students from around the world in urging Member States to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030 (the 30x30 target).
Led by the Oceano Azul Foundation and Oceanário de Lisboa, this initiative gives students a platform to make their voices heard by world leaders at the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in June 2025.
The Network of European Blue Schools proudly supports the Mini 30x30 initiative and encourages educators and students to take part in this global movement for ocean protection.
Want to learn more? We’ve invited the leaders of this initiative to share their insights and show you how to get your students involved.
Join our webinar on March 19th at 18:00 CET to discover how you can take part and empower your students to advocate for a healthier ocean.
