I’d like to start with a name: Beatrice.I’d like to start by describing her dark eyes, wide open, that lookedaround her for the first time on a scorching August day.I’d like to tell you that through her eyes, like beacons, we found our way once more. Born, in a moment of confusion, of silence, Bea knew how to speak to us. She told us of a different world, a simple one. She told us we had to return to the land to rediscover the things we had lost. That our hills were that land, that our fields were our history. We listened to the flow of the seasons and learned to feed off the beauty of our landscape, promising her that we would create a flowered path and dedicate ourselves to the future of all our children, to leave them a better world as a legacy. And so with her we rediscovered time, the autherntic one. We spent time where her grandfather “Italo” dedicated every minute and every moment of his incredible and tireless life. He was a simple farmer and today, for us, simplicity means happiness and we owe all our future to him. Our happiness lies in little things, authentic things, real ones, that fulfill us and encourage us. We cultivate the value of our choices which are deeply embedded in the land but stand tall and fearless like our wheat that, with its unique flour has nourished our memory.
