LCA in the blue bioeconomy: ecosystem services and carrying capacity
- Blue Bio Resources
LCAs are becoming steadily established as a requirement in EU projects, though there are few guidelines on how to deliver quality, effective and impactful processes that will give a high return on investment for participating companies, start-ups and SMEs. During this workshop, we will discuss methodological harmonization for more comparable and useful LCAs, the importance of engaging and co-generating results with stakeholders (and tips on how to do it), and give insights on the latest developments on ecosystem service and carrying capacity modelling, especially for algae systems. We also aim to discuss the role of LCAs in supporting the formulation in green claims following the forthcoming Green Claims Directive.
