Dr. Sheillah Hlamalani Mboweni brings extensive expertise in teaching and learning within Health Services Management, Health Sciences education, public health, & research focusing on strengthening health systems and combating communicable & non-communicable diseases like HIV, COVID-19, & TB, including adolescents & young adult health. Holding a level 5 Scopus index, she has contributed to various peer-reviewed journals as an author and reviewer. Engaged in prestigious organizations like SIGMA Theta Tau Chi XI, South Africa HIV Clinician Society & NEA. She mentors research integrity in SARIMA and presents her work at national & international conferences. With over 26 years of experience spanning public and private sectors in South Africa, including roles within PEPFAR-funded organizations like Aurum and CDC, she now serves as a senior lecturer at the University of South Africa. She was primary investigator for project on the impact of COVID 19 on the management of chronic diseases, HIV recency testing, and HIV index testing and empowering school teenagers on prevention and reducing teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, mental health, STIs/HIV and Gender based Violence through community engagement and
