I am a nurse and university professor with over 10 years of experience. I have been involved in the field of oncology patients undergoing both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. I completed international training courses in radiotherapy and a master's degree in radiological nursing from the University of Barcelona. Since 2017, I have been a nurse in the inpatient unit at the National Cancer Institute of Uruguay (the country's oncological reference center), and I have also gained experience in surgery as an operation room nurse in Hospital de Clínicas. Recently, I was also incorporated into the tissue transplant emergency team in Uruguay. I obtained both positions through competitive exams based on qualifications and merits. During my years working in oncology, I identified the need to train in palliative care, so in 2022, I completed my second master's degree in Palliative Care. I also have experience and training in wound care, having previously served on the board of the Uruguayan Wound Scientific Society. 2024: I obtained a PhD in Biophotonic Medicine (from UNINOVE, Brazil).
