About
We offer solutions and applications for a wide range of agricultural and food industry topics:
1 – Kits of high specificity for the detection, identification and quantification of allergens in natural and processed foods.
As an example, narrow-leafed lupin (legumes) main allergen β-Conglutin (Lup an 1), https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6835513/
2 – Plant (legume)-based nutraceutical compounds to be implemented in foods, beverages, as pharmaceutical compounds and cosmetics.
Recent studies we have made about health benefits of legume seed compounds (mainly proteins) revealed the molecular mechanism by which seed storage proteins exhibit diseases fighting properties (prevention and treatment) for inflammatory-related diseases as obesity, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome; cardiovascular diseases, cancer, etc…

5 – Bioinformatics methods and work-flows to design molecular tools (antibodies) for the detection and identification (traceability) of proteins.
These methods are based in algorithms to compare proteins physic-chemical and functional features, 2D and 3d structure, epitopes identification and characterization: ALLERGENS IN FOODS, CROP PATHOGENS, STRESSES RESPONSE PROTEINS, and others applications.
